• Negotiations will continue Thursday and we will be joined by a federal mediator in hopes of avoiding a work stoppage by all SPCO painters.
Save the date and time: Saturday 4/29 from the hours of 12-3 pm.
This vote is tentative and dependent on the outcome of negotiations on Thursday.
Thursday 4/20/23 - WHAT JUST HAPPENED WITH THE SPCO CONTRACT?
On Wednesday, April 19, the membership voted to authorize a strike effective May 1, 2023.
We had a record turnout with 97.1% voting to strike.
The retroactive offer from the SPCO contractors was accepted, enabling us to continue negotiating through the end of this month.
Negotiations are scheduled for April 25 & April 27, with hopes of avoiding a work stoppage.
Should the SPCO make an offer, be prepared to participate in a Ratification Vote on Saturday, April 29th.
Times & locations TBA.
