SYNOPSIS: Question #1 – Shall we extend the SPCO Paint Agreement through April 30, 2023, with retroactive wages to April 1, 2023 ? A yes vote will secure a retroactive wage increase for all painters currently working under the SPCO Paint Agreement. This will provide the Union and Management time to continue bargaining through April. After April 30, 2023, it will be our option to continue bargaining or take other action. There are strong protections in the tentative agreement to ensure you receive your retroactive money. It reads as follows: THE PARTIES AGREE TO EXTEND THE PAINTERS MASTER AREA AGREEMENT THROUGH APRIL 30, 2023. THE SPCO AGREES TO RETRO PAY FOR “WAGES ONLY” IN THE FORM OF A ONE TIME CHECK UPON RATIFICATION. THE ONE TIME CHECK SHALL BE DUE UPON THE SECOND PAY PERIOD FOLLOWING THE RATIFICATION VOTE. (We do not have an economic wage proposal from the SPCO at this time.) Question #2 – Shall we approve authorization for a membership strike on or after May 1, 2023 ? (authorization of a strike does not guarantee there will be a strike or work stoppage) For more information, join us on Zoom Date: Friday April 14, 2023 Time: 5:00pm – 6:00pm Link: https://us06web.zoom.us/j/86476070024 OR call in: 1-253-215-8782 Meeting ID: 864 7607 0024 |
